I saw a post on social media recently in which the author was sharing about her day. What stood out to me was her mindset throughout the day, she mentioned that she was tired of cringing about how she handled things that would pass anyway. And that informed how she faced the challenges of that day.

Sometimes, I underestimate the fact that God can use a seemingly mundane social media post to speak into my circumstances. I always expect it to be a post sharing a Bible verse or Biblical exposition. On that day, I was really grateful for that author’s sharing.

It was one of those days where nothing seemed to be going as I had hoped. My daughter was being picky about her meals which meant that I had to try different options to encourage her to eat. That took away a lot of the time that I had hoped to use to complete my other tasks. When I saw that post, I was contemplating cancelling our daily visit to the park playground so that I could get to my other tasks. 

God graciously used a social media post to encourage me to still go ahead and go to the park. My daughter and I ended up having a fun time at the park. It also turned out to be a warmer winter day and those don’t come around often if ever. In the end, I got to do my other tasks of the day and did not miss out on a joyful moment/memory with my family. God showed me how to handle that day better. I am glad that as I look back on it, I see His kindness and faithfulness.
